Catalog Description

Angela Jacobs, associate professor of communication studies, currently serves as her department's graduate program coordinator. The graduate program offers a Master of Arts in Communication Studies as well as an option in communication pedagogy.

Dr. Jacobs received her doctorate in speech communication from Southern Illinois University in 2007. Her research interests include family communication; interpersonal communication; suicide awareness/prevention; and communicating grief and bereavement.

Admission to the graduate program in communication studies, with or without the communication pedagogy option, requires an application to the Graduate School as well as an additional application to the Department of Communication Studies.
