PURPOSE OF PROPOSED OUTAGE:  Charleston Fire Department will be conducting technical vertical rescue training on the South wall of Carman North 

POSSIBLE PROBLEMS / SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: During the training, fire trucks and vehicles will be visible.

PURPOSE OF PROPOSED OUTAGE:  Contractors will be removing carpeting and abating floor tile 

POSSIBLE PROBLEMS / SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:    There will be some construction noise and the area will be taped off and signs posted.

Partial Closing of 7th Street:

BUILDINGS OR AREAS INVOLVED:   Part of 7th Street will be closed.  Closure starts at Johnson Avenue and ends at Grant Avenue.

PURPOSE OF PROPOSED OUTAGE:  Fuel oil line removal

 

Parking Lot Work:

DATE AND TIME:     Friday, July 4, 2014 – Friday, August 15, 2014  

PURPOSE OF PROPOSED OUTAGE:  Fuel oil tank removal and lot replacement 

POSSIBLE PROBLEMS / SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: Staff parking spaces will be reduced. Sidewalk adjacent to lot will be inaccessible.

 

Repaving of Coleman and Taylor Hall Parking Lot:

REQUESTED BY: Eric Wahls, Facilities Planning & Mgt.

BUILDINGS OR AREAS INVOLVED:     Coleman Hall and Taylor Hall parking lot                                                                                                            

DATE AND TIME:  Monday, June 2, 2014 – Thursday, July 31, 2014 (approximately 2 months)

PURPOSE OF PROPOSED OUTAGE:  Repave parking lot and redo adjacent sidewalks 

POSSIBLE PROBLEMS / SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: The ADA accessible entrance to Coleman Hall will be open, but accessed only from the West side during this phase of construction work.  Another notice will be issued when the ADA access changes from West to East.
