Work Control Repair Request

Work Control hours are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Phone: 581-3416 ext #1 for emergencies, #2 for elevator calls, #3 to leave a voicemail. Voicemail is for non-emergency requests only.  All emergency calls outside normal work hours may result in overtime charges, and the calling departments may be responsible for this cost.

Non-emergency request maybe sent to email address eiumaint@eiu.edu, please be sure to include your name, phone number, building, room/office number, and a description of your problem.
After hours calls are automatically transferred to an answering service which will dispatch emergencies to on-call personnel.
The following shops have evening and/or weekend shifts:

• Carpenter Shop: 2 pm -10 pm Mon-Fri.
• Electricians: 2 pm -10 pm Mon-Fri.
• Plumbing Shop: until 5:30pm Mon-Fri.
• Environmental Control: 2 pm -10 pm Mon-Fri. & 7 am-3 pm Sat & Sun.

Emergency service requests are generally related to:
Safety, security, and/or the potential for major damage.
