How to Navigating PAWS 14-15

To Review and Accept Awards

  1. Log in to PAWS at http://www.eiu.edu/pawslogin/ using your EIU Net ID and password. Your Net ID and password are listed on your Letter of Admission and can also be accessed on your checklist on "myeiu." If you need help with accessing PAWS, please contact the Office of Admissions, 217-581-2223.
  2. Select the Financial Aid menu, and click Award.
  3. Click on Award for Aid Year.
  4. Select the 2014-2015 aid year.
  5. Click on the Term and Conditions tab and follow the instructions provided before you are able to accept your awards.
  6. Review your awards on the Award Overview tab. TIP: You can print a copy of your award letter from this tab by simply selecting the Print button located at the top of this page.
  7. Click on Accept Award Offer and you may Accept ‘Full Amount All Awards’ if you would like to accept all aid as it appears. You may also individually Accept or Decline each award offered and Submit Decision.
  8. Finally, click on the Resources/Additional Information tab and follow the instructions to complete the Title IV Authorization requirement.
  9. If you are no longer planning to attend EIU or will not attend until the spring semester, please email this information to us at finaid@eiu.edu by May 1, 2014, so that we can re-distribute funds to other students. Be sure to include your name and E# in your email.

To Review Unsatisfied/Outstanding Requirements

  1. Log in to PAWS at http://www.eiu.edu/pawslogin/ using your EIU Net ID and password. Your Net ID and password are listed on your Letter of Admission and can also be accessed on your checklist on "myeiu." If you need help with accessing PAWS, please contact the Office of Admissions, 217-581-2223.
  2. Once you login to PAWS, click Financial Aid.
  3. On the Financial Aid menu, click Eligibility.
  4. Select the 2014-2015 aid year.
  5. On the Eligibility menu, click Student Requirements - Unsatisfied/Outstanding. Requirements are listed at the top.
  6. Click the Instructions box for each Requirement to view descriptions and instructions for your outstanding requirements.
  7. Forms that are available for downloading and printing will be hyperlinked. Click on the form, then print, complete and return the form according to the instructions listed.
  8. If you are no longer planning to attend EIU or will not attend until the spring semester, please email this information to us at finaid@eiu.edu by May 1, 2014, so that we can re-distribute funds to other students. Be sure to include your name and E# in your email.

Failure to complete these requirements in a timely manner will delay processing and disbursing of your financial aid.
