

As in previous years, Celebration will feature a great line-ups of fine arts vendors on Saturday and Sunday. Over 40 artisans will be on-hand selling their hand-crafted works of art ranging from jewelry and stoneware to paintings and sculptures.

1. Only your own original artwork is acceptable.
(a) Hand-pulled prints (editions of signed/numbered original intaglios, lithographs, wood/linocuts, silk-screens) are acceptable. High-quality reproduction prints of paintings by the artist are acceptable only if the booth display is of at least two-thirds originals and reproductions are clearly marked; please note in “Comments.”
(b) It is preferred that all processing of photographs be done by the artist. Acceptance or rejection of commercially processed photography is at the discretion of the jury committee whose decision is final. Please note process in “Comments.”
(c) Ceramics made from commercial molds, commercially fabricated jewelry forms and settings, and items made from hobby store kits are not acceptable.
(d) Only tee shirts or purchased articles of clothing substantially altered with artwork will be considered. Hand-produced fabrics made into garments or into accessories of your own original design are accepted.
2. Submit three (3) pictures representative of your work and, if possible, one picture of your booth, on a CD (8x10 at 72 dpi level 10) or as 2” color slides. Provide a brief description of each piece of artwork pictured, including size and price. CDs and slides will be returned only if a self-addressed, stamped envelope is provided.

6. APPLICATION DEADLINE: March 14, 2009
7. Notification of jury results will be mailed or e-mailed on March 20, 2009.
8. To participate artists juried into the fair are required to pay the Fair Entry Fee. Fee payment receipt deadline: April 1, 2009. No refunds after this date.
$60.00 entry fee. Please make your check payable to: Eastern Illinois University, indicate on the memo line “Art Fair,” and mail to the address given above. Payment may be made by credit card by phoning the Tarble Arts Center, EIU, at 217-581-2787, 8:30 am - 5 p.m. weekdays. Fee payment must be received by April 1.
Exhibit spaces are 12x12 on grass for an artist-supplied booth; 50 booths maximum.
Overnight security on May 1-3 will be provided, however, the Board of Trustees for Eastern Illinois University for Celebration: A Festival of the Arts assumes no responsibility for loss or damage of any kind at any time to artists’ work and other personal property including damage due to weather conditions.
