Accreditation

• The School of Family and Consumer Sciences is accredited by the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.

• The Didactic Program in Dietetics at the undergraduate level is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics Education of The American Dietetic Association, 120 S. Riverside Plaza, Suite 2000, Chicago, IL 60606-6995, 312-899-5000.

• The post baccalaureate Dietetic Internship offered only as a part of our Master of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences: Dietetics Option is granted accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics Education of The American Dietetic Association, 120 S. Riverside Plaza, Suite 2000, Chicago, IL 60606-6995, 312-899-5000.

• The B.S. Teacher Certification option is approved by the Illinois State Board of Higher Education and National Council on Teacher Accreditation.

• The Family Services Concentration has been deemed equivalent to a BSW (Bachelor of Social Work) by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children (COA).
