OPEN CALL FOR LILLY CONFERENCE

Faculty Development is pleased to announce that two faculty members will be selected to attend the 28th International Lilly Conference on College Teaching at Miami University at Oxford, Ohio, on Nov. 20-23. Conference registration, travel and housing will be sponsored by Faculty Development.

Attendees will be expected to disseminate information to contribute to the teaching and learning community at EIU. Lilly Conferences have provided opportunities for the presentation of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning for more than 25 years. The conference theme this year is Millennial Learning: Teaching in the 21st Century, and will focus on teaching at a time when students and faculty have almost limitless information available at any time, a situation that creates both opportunities and challenges. To apply, please submit an electronic application to facdev@eiu.edu with your name and department, as well as a brief narrative on why you are interested in attending the Lilly Conference and how this will benefit you and your department.

The deadline for applications is noon Wednesday, Oct. 15.
