Service Contractors and Safety

Service Contractors and Safety April 15, 2005

All contractors are required by law to conform with all safety, health, and environmental laws when performing their work.  They are additionally required to abide by all sections of the University Contractor Safety Manual that may apply.  The Eastern Illinois Contractor Safety Manual was prepared to ensure the safety of all students, faculty, employees, and property,  as the contractors' work can both positively or negatively affect the safety of the above mentioned parties.

This Contractor Safety Manual will be provided to all service contractors in order to communicate any hazardous information that applies to University properties, as well as to outline and inform the contractor on Eastern Illinois University's safety, environmental, and health procedures.
