The Minutes from the February 8 meeting:
- Comments on the January 8 meeting were expressed and approval of the minutes will be deferred until the March meeting.
- The committee goals for 2005 are-
- Review bylaws http://www.eiu.edu/~environ/Committee/bylaws.htm
- Emergency Preparedness- [ no action ]
- After Hours calls for tornado warnings
- Reassembly points outside and inside the building
- Review the Blair Hall emergency
- Campus wide emergency drill
- Campus wide evacuation plan
- Reporting- reports from UPD, HR, etc.
- Reports from other origination and committees on campus.
- The committee discussed the Accident report prepared by the EHS department.
- Discussed the committee's goal of reviewing Blair Hall Fire emergency. It was the consensuses of the EHSC to actively pursue this discussion in future meetings.
- Martha Brown continue the discussion on the EHSC's By Law Membership
What type of member would make up the EHSC.
i. Functional- has some form of public actives [Lantz basketball games]
ii. Experience a person who has environmental, health, and safety duties on campus.
