Environmental Health and Safety Committee

11/12/02 Meeting Notes

Present: Gary Hanebrink, Dan Carpenter, Karen Nantz, Martha Brown, Becky Markwell, Mark Shaklee, Mike Carter, Jr., Joe Wall, Keith Kohanzo, Rob Bates and Chuck Phillips.

Gary has been asked to compile a list of safety needs that might be filled using capital (non-moveable equipment) renewal funds (appropriated). He will get copies of the list made a few years ago to the Committee to use as a starting point. Items mentioned at the meeting included AED machines and sprinklers for high-rise buildings. The Committee should inform Gary of any additional needs. Gary will draft a survey soliciting health and safety needs and will ask for Committee feedback prior to sending it to the campus community.
