Creative Writing: Poetry 1000-1050 MWF
This course will explore forms of poetry by working in, against, and through a number of traditional & nontraditional poetic structures: quatrains, sonnets, blank verse, villanelles, sestinas, and a few others. Writing exercises, reading of poems, and discussion of student work during this course will provide students an opportunity to produce original poetry. This course will include the reading of poetic criticism and poetics. (Group 5)
