Introduction to Professional Writing 1400-1450 MWF
What is professional communication? This course attempts to answer that question and introduces students to the principles and practices of communication (written, oral, and visual) in professional settings. Throughout the semester, we'll learn how to apply rhetorical principles to the production of professional documents such as memos, white papers, proposals and reports and more, with a focus on the importance of context, purpose and audience. The course will also include a unit on document design. Introduction to the theory and practice of writing and writers in professional settings. (Group 1 or 5)
