- New graduate student orientation (6:30-7:30 p.m.) and student/faculty social (7:30-8:30 p.m.) in Coleman Hall 3732
- Oct. 23
- Last day for students planning to enroll in ENG 5950 during spring 2010 to submit thesis prospectus
- Oct. 23
- Last day for students to submit independent study proposal for spring 2010
- Oct. 23
- Graduate assistantship applications for spring 2010 due (please check with the Graduate Coordinator concerning the availability of GA positions during the spring semester)
- Oct. 30
- Last day to submit letter of intent for summer 2010 thesis to Graduate Coordinator
- Nov. 3
- Fall deadline to apply or reapply for graduation
- Nov. 6
- Last day to submit an Application to Teach 1001 or 1002 as a Graduate Assistant for spring 2010. Click here to print the application form.
- Nov. 20
- Last day for faculty committees to submit examinations for fall 2009 to GSC (a copy of the examination should be submitted no less than three weeks before the date of the written examination)
- Nov. 20
- Last day for students to submit examination petition (including rationale and reading list) for spring 2010

- M.A. Comprehensive Exams--written portion (or as scheduled earlier in the semester by the reading director in consultation with the Graduate Coordinator)

- M.A. Comprehensive Exams--oral portion (or as scheduled earlier in the semester by the reading director in consultation with the Graduate Coordinator)
- Dec. 21
- Final day for Graduate Coordinator to file Certificate of Comprehensive Knowledge for a graduating student (MA thesis defense or oral exam must have been completed successfully)
