EIU Teaching with Primary Sources
Constant Motion: The Job of Railway Postal Clerks
This program contains footage obtained when eleven former railway post office clerks visited the EIU campus on March 6, 2010. The gentlemen shared stories about their experiences on the mail train. In addition, some clerks brought personal primary sources that were explained and demonstrated. Sharp mail bundling and memory skills were displayed, which helped students further understand a glimpse at the role of the RPO clerk.
