Rugby Achievements:

On the Orange County, Southern California, Select Side from '74 through '80. One of the six founding members of the Dead Goat Rugby Club Touring Side out of Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1972 . . . now called the Haggis RFC.

One of the seven founding members of the Belmont Shore Rugby Club in the winter of '73/'74, which has been in the Super League since it's inception, and has won the Super League Championship three times, and the past two years in a row, '03, '04 . . . Go Belmont!

When I started playing fullback for Belmont Shore, back in '77, I was coached, one on one, by JPR Williams, the great Welch fullback . . . had more fun playing fullback than I ever had playing flyhalf.  I was honored to meet him, and to be coached by him!

I was a player coach for years, and then, after getting my knee blown out in the fall of '89, I became the 3rd and 4th side back's coach for Belmont Shore.

Moved to St. Elmo, IL, in the fall of '94, and found that the Eastern Illinois University Men's Rugby Club needed a coach.  They accepted me, and I have been their coach ever since.  I'm proud to be associated with the young men I've coached throughout the years, and the young men I coach now

First Try Versus: So long ago, 1970, with the old Long Beach RFC, that I can't remember.
