Each year the EIU Parents Club awards a number of scholarships to eligible students currently enrolled at Eastern. The purpose of the scholarships is to enable students, needing financial assistance to continue their studies at the University. Selection of the scholarship recipients is made by the EIU Parents Club Scholarship Committee and is based on financial need, academic achievement and campus/community involvement.
The application process opens Dec. 16, 2011. Applications will be available online (see below) to download on the Parents Club website. The application, essay and letters of reference must be completed and a printed copy submitted to the Student Life Office, Room 3065 by 4 p.m., Feb. 16, 2012. The EIU Parents Club Scholarship is open to all currently enrolled Eastern Illinois University students. The scholarship recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at EIU for the Fall 2012 semester.
