WELCOME TO EIU 2007 FAMILY WEEKEND

The Parents Club Board of Directors invite you and your family to join us for our annual Family Weekend celebration scheduled for October 5 -7, 2007. would like to welcome you to another fun-filled Family Weekend. The weekend begins Friday night in the Grand Ballroom with a performance by ventriloquist and comedienne Lynn Trefzger and her trunk of zany characters. For families who enjoy Bingo the University Ballroom will be your destination.

Parents Club scholarship recipients will be honored at a reception on Friday evening. The recipients will also be announced and recognized at the concert on Saturday evening. Please join us, at the concert, and honor these students for their accomplishments.

On Saturday morning, the Parents' Club will host a free continental breakfast in the Union Vending Lounge from 9am – 11:45. Parents Club representatives will be in attendance to answer questions about Parents' Club or the activities sponsored this weekend. Next, is the EIU Panther vs. Eastern Kentucky University football game. Kick-off is set for 1:30pm. Wear your EIU blue and join other families as they cheer the Panthers to victory. The REO Speedwagon concert will be held in Lantz Arena. REO is a band that most parents remember! It also has a new CD out for a new generation of fans to follow.

As an alumna of EIU, along with other board members, Parents Club has been a fulfilling and great way to give back to this wonderful university. Parents Club has many goals and projects to help enrich the student and family experience. Parents Club awards scholarships, assists with move-in day and offers monetary support to various student clubs at the university.

Please join us for Family Weekend and also join us in making President Perry's first EIU Family Weekend a GREAT experience!
