We thank you for your interest in the College Student Affairs (CSA) Program at Eastern Illinois University. Those seeking admittance in the program should follow the registration process outlined below.
Prospective students must complete the requirements listed below in chronological order:
1. Apply to the Graduate School and the CSD Department for consideration into the program.
2. Apply to CSA Days or off-campus interview day.
a. Prospective students are encouraged to apply to attend CSA Days; however, due to limited space and resources, only a select number of applicants will be invited to attend the CSA Days interview process.
b. Applicant information must be turned in by February 8, 2013, although early applicants will receive first priority.
c. Selected candidates will be notified of their invitation within 7 days of the department receiving their completed application, or for late registrants, they will receive notification no later than February 8, 2013.
d. Candidates wishing to be interviewed for Housing Positions at the Oshkosh Placements Exchange or the Southern Placement Exchange (Housing Recruitment) should note the dates and deadlines for each specific placement exchange at the following websites:
OPE: www.theope.org
SPE: www.southernplacement.com
3. Attend an in-person interview day.
a. On campus: CSA Days
b. Off campus: Oshkosh Placement Exchange or Southern Placement Exchange Interview (Housing Recruitment)
Please note that the in-person interviews are to both determine your acceptance into the program as well as an opportunity to interview for a graduate assistantship. All CSA students must obtain an assistantship or full time position within an institution of higher education in order to receive admittance into the program. For a list of potential assistantships, please see the CSA Days application.
