Graduate School Admission
Admission Sequence and Requirements
Submit the following to the Graduate School:
- A Graduate School admission application to the Office of the Graduate School, Eastern Illinois University, 600 Lincoln Avenue, Charleston, IL 61920. You can choose to print an application and mail it in, or apply online.
- An official transcript showing the completion of a baccalaureate degree with the following GPA:
- 2.75 or above = Full Admission
- below 2.75 = Provisional Admission (must earn 3.0 in first 12 semester hours of CSD graduate work to obtain full admission)
- Offical scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Failure to submit GRE scores by the deadline will result in applicant being denied for admission. (Students applying to the College Student Affairs program do not need to take the GRE). Click here for directions to the Testing Center.
The Graduate School will send 1-3 above to the Department of Counseling and Student Development. NOTE: These items must be received by the CSD department no later than March 1. Please work with the Graduate School to insure their prompt arrival.
