Department Admission
Admission Sequence and Requirements
- Complete the Graduate School Admission application.
- Complete and submit the Departmental Admission application for Counseling OR College Student Affairs.
- Submit TWO Departmental Recommendation Forms from individuals familiar with the applicant's academic or work performance. (The department prefers academic references if possible).
- Deadline for submitting materials: March 1.
- Based on materials supplied above, each applicant will be screened to determine who will be invited to attend a Pre-Admission/Orientation Interview. The 2008 admitted students will be chosen from this invited group. If you are not selected for an interview, you may request that your file be held for next year's review.
NOTE: Applicants requesting admission to the College Student Affairs program do not attend the Pre-Admission/Orientation Interview. However, these applicants will be requested to make an individual interview appointment with Dr. Chuck Eberly (cfcge@eiu.edu) no later than March 1, 2008.
For those who are invited to interview, the dates and times for the 2007 academic year are as follows: Monday, March 19, 2007 (Morning for Community Counseling applicants and afternoon for School Counseling applicants).
