In Remembrance
Robert H. Karraker (1931-2008)
In October, 2008, the chemistry class of 1958 celebrated its 50th Anniversary. There were sixteen in the class. Those present for homecoming were Dr. Edmund S. Berchert, Jr., Dr. Warren Lowry, and Dr. Jack Frost. Fifty years ago Eastern Illinois University had an enrollment of 2452 and the chemistry department had six faculty members (Phipps, Marcey, Foreman, Steele, Smith and Beer).
