Master of Science in Elementary Education

The purpose of this program of advanced studies is to further the professional abilities and scholarly preparation of teachers at levels ranging from preschool through the middle school level. Upon completion of an approved course of study, the student is awarded the Master of Science in Education degree. The preparation of competent master teachers for classroom teaching and for other positions of leadership in preschool, elementary, and middle level education is among the department's highest goals.

Admission to the Graduate School is the first stage of admission for students seeking candidacy for master's degrees offered through an academic department. Academic departments grant degree candidacy in the second stage of admission and may establish requirements in addition to those of the graduate school. Online Application
