Accreditation

In service to the state and region, the Department of Educational Administration hosts half-day workshops on implementing new mandates and other common concerns for public school administrators. The EIU Administrative Round Table has hosted many noted educational authorities, legislators, and association leaders. 

Professors in the department also provide services to groups including the Illinois Principals Association, Illinois Association of School Boards, Illinois Association of School Administrators, and the Illinois State Board of Education.

The Department is accredited by the Illinois State Board of Education, The National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education, and the North Central Association.
