The academic programs offered at the Copenhagen University College of Engineering are designed specifically for international students studying at Copenhagen for a semester or summer. All classes are also taught in English.
Copenhagen has a classic European feel with a very cosmopolitan personality. The city offers various events, special exhibits, and concerts. There is great architecture all around the city; the classic mingles with modern design everywhere you look.

The Engineering College of Copenhagen believes that students should study hard but also have time to have fun. The College arranges numerous social activities for its international students. In addition, you will have the opportunity to join clubs on campus such as the Cultural Forum or Drama Society, among others. Many students head over to Verners Baggård (a club near campus) to play darts, pool, take salsa lessons, or just hang out after classes. There is also a fitness center on campus and space available for band or music practice (with all necessary tech equipment, except the instrument).
Copenhagen, the capitol of Denmark, is a city of 1.7 million people with no shortage of things to see and do. From the Tivoli Gardens (pictured to the right) to the Amalienborg Palace to the National Gallery to a picturesque canal ride, Copenhagen is a beautiful and interesting city. It is also the home of "The Little Mermaid", the story by Hans Christian Anderson and made famous by Disney. You can see "The Little Mermaid" bronze statue which was presented to the city in 1913 by artist Carl Jacobsen.
Biking is the primary mode of transportation in Copenhagen, and you can rent bikes for free in the city center. Traveling from Copenhagen to other areas of the country or Europe is also quite easy as public transportation is plentiful. Flights and train rides are reasonably priced and get you from place to place quickly. |

When studying on exchange at the Copenhagen University College of Engineering, students have two options for housing through the College. You may choose to live in a student residence hall or with a Danish family. To have the College arrange housing for you, simply fill out the form below (it is the same as the accommodation forms listed above with the other application materials) and submit it to the Office of Study Abroad at EIU with the rest of your materials.
Accommodation application
If you would prefer to live off-campus in an apartment, you can do so. The College will not make the arrangements for you but can help provide you with some information about finding an apartment in Copenhagen.

Passport
To enter Denmark, you must have a valid passport. If you are a U.S. citizen and do not currently have a valid passport, or if your passport will expire during the time you will be overseas, please go to the U.S. State Department web site for information on how to apply for/renew your passport.
Visa
Visa not required for a stay of up to 90 days. (**90-day period begins when entering Schengen countries). Passport must be valid for three months beyond the last day of your stay in the Schengen countries. For longer stays visa requires 1 application form, 1 supplementary information form, 2 recent photos, letter of invitation, proof of sufficient funds, proof of accommodation, onward/return ticket, and valid travel insurance.
