ACCOMPLISHMENTS WHILE EIU PRESIDENTSuccessfully kept all classes in attendance after Blair Hall's fire. Blair Hall was up and running again only two years later.
The popular food court on EIU's campus opened during Lou Hencken's time as President.
Continued the fundraising efforts that began under President Surles and increased funds from $1.7 million per year to $6 million.
Established a 3-year fundraising goal of $10,000,000 and subsequently collected almost $12,000,000.
Secured the funding for the $45 million Doundna Fine Arts renovation.
Enrollment reached an all-time high in 2005 with 12, 129 students.
Technology capabilities grew on campus until 100% of all requested classrooms were technology advanced.
Opened the newly renovated Booth Library in 2002.
