| Suicide |
- Are you sleeping too much or having trouble sleeping? (missing class)
- Are you experiencing mood swings?
- Are you isolating yourself from others, not wanting to socialize and not feeling close to others?
- Are you feeling hopeless?
- Are you abusing drugs and/or alcohol?
- Have you experienced a recent traumatic event or loss?
- Have you been acting impulsive, reckless, and/or aggressive? (punching walls, driving erratically,eg…)
- Have you attempted suicide before or engage in self harming behaviors? (cutting, burning, et…)
- Do you have a specific plan for suicide?
- Does your pain seem greater than how you know how to cope with it?

If you answered yes to more than a few of these questions, it is time that you get help. Help comes in all forms. The Counseling Center is here on campus and is prepared to help you. We are conveniently located on campus in the Human Services Building and our services are free. We have a very qualified, caring staff. All you have to do is call for an appointment during our operating hours of 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. We also have a counselor on call after hours. If you feel that you need immediate attention, please contact the and request that they contact the on call counselor.
