Two EIU Speech Panthers place in recent tournament

Two members of the Eastern Illinois University Speech Team qualified for the finals of the 74 Swing Tournament last weekend.

Samantha Sauer (senior from Sycamore) placed 6th in After Dinner Speaking.  Darnell Tyms (sophomore from Dolton) took home 7th place in Novice Prose.

The tournament was held at Illinois State University in Normal.

The next competition for the EIU Speech Panthers is the Age of Aquarius Tournament on October 16th at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
