David Gracon wins instructional technology award
A Communication Studies faculty member has been honored for his innovative work in the use of instructional technology.
Dr. David Gracon is the recipient of the first ever Michael R. Hoadley Instructional Technology Award. The award recognizes an Eastern Illinois University faculty member who has demonstrated the innovative use of new and emerging technologies or an existing technology through innovation and its impact on the teaching and learning process.
The award was in conjunction with Gracon's work in the Communication Studies Department's Electronic Media Relations course (CMN 3500), where students merge new media production skills with traditional research and strategic message design.
The award is named after Michael R. Hoadley, who is the former Assistant Vice-President for Academic Affairs for Technology at E.I.U.
