An Eastern Illinois University Communication Studies faculty member and two senior majors showed their work at a recent film festival in Champaign.
Assistant Professor Dr. David Gracon and students Dustin Tylman (senior from Charleston) and Tyson Kroening (senior from Mattoon) screened their films at the New Art Film Festival (NAFF) in Champaign.
Dr. Gracon screened his latest documentary Walls of Sound: A Look Inside the House of Records. Tylman screened a comedy called A Logical Conclusion. Kroening presented an experimental drama entitled Death of a Mailman.
The New Art Film Festival took place April 20th at the Art Theater in downtown Champaign. It was the third annual festival, which showcases locally made independent films. The NAFF is presented by C-U Confidential and sponsored by the Champaign-Urbana Film Society, and is also a part of the Boneyard Arts Festival organized by the 40 North 88 West arts council.
