Utah professor to speak on environmental communication at Eastern

A Communication professor from the University of Utah will speak about environmental communication at Eastern Illinois University.

Dr. Danielle Endres, Associate Professor of Communication at the University of Utah, will give a colloquium presentation on Wednesday, February 15th, at 6:00 p.m. in E.I.U's Doudna Lecture Hall.  The topic of her presentation is ""Open Source, Music, and Civil Disobedience: The Rhetorical Tactics of Contemporary Climate Change Activism."

Dr. Endres is a member of the Environmental Humanities faculty at Utah and has published extensively in the area of environmental communication.  Her research and teaching interests lie in argumentation, rhetorical criticism, environmental communication, social movements, and Native American cultures.  She is currently exploring discourse about nuclear waste siting decisions.  Dr. Endres has degrees from the University of Washington, San Diego State, and the University of Oregon.

During her visit to Eastern, Dr. Endres will also be meeting with graduate students from the E.I.U. Department of Communication Studies.
