EIU Spring 2014 Commencement Checklist
- Apply to graduate by March 19, 2014
Apply for graduation through PAWS: http://www.eiu.edu/paws Questions? Call the Office of the Registrar at 217-581-3511 or your college dean. Please note: If you have not applied to graduate or "walk through" March 19, 2014, your name WILL NOT be in the program
- Order your cap and gown by April 6
To order your cap and gown, go to www.eiu.edu/commence. Click on "Before Commencement" on the left, then click on "Cap and Gown Rental". Be sure to choose "Eastern Illinois University" as your school. Late charge - $20 after April 6.

- Are you a graduate with special needs?
If so, please contact the Alumni Services staff at 217-581-6892 to make arrangements in advance of the ceremonies.
- Pick up your tickets May 7, 8, or 9
Space is limited at Lantz Arena, so graduates are allotted a specific number of tickets. Ticket distribution will be May 7-9 from 9 am to 5 pm in the Arcola-Tuscola Room, MLK University Union. For those graduates who are not taking classes on campus and/or cannot be on campus for ticket distribution please e-mail a ticket request, including your name, e-number and major, to Ms. Marty Hackler at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Pick up your cap and gown May 7, 8, or 9
Cap and gown distribution will be will be May 7-9 in the Charleston-Mattoon Room of the MLK University Union from 9 am to 5 pm. For those graduates who are not taking classes on campus and/or cannot be on campus for cap and gown distribution, your cap and gown can be picked up in the Fieldhouse of Lantz Arena on Commencement Day.
- On Commencement Day (Saturday, May 10)
Arrive at the Lantz Fieldhouse at least one hour before your ceremony begins. Graduates, both undergraduate and graduate students, will walk with the colleges from which they are receiving their degrees.

9 a.m. - College of Sciences and The Graduate School
12 p.m. - College of Arts and Humanities and The Graduate School, School of Continuing Education (BGS degrees)
3 p.m. - College of Education and Professional Studies and The Graduate School
6 p.m. - Lumpkin College of Business and Applied Sciences and The Graduate School
