* New Graduate Students: Important Updates on the CDS Graduate Program *
Beginning summer 2008, all admitted graduate studetns will begin thier programs of study in the Summer term (June 9-July 18). In response to the feedback of former and current graduate students, we have modified the program structure to allow for more time to engage in academic and clinical experiences. No academic hours have been added to the program. Delivering our program over six terms rather than five will allow all students to benefit more fully from our curricular and practicum experiences.
If you have questions about these exciting changes in our CDS graduate program of study, contact Dr. Tina Veale, CDS Graduate Program Coordinator, at (217) 581-7445 or tkveale@eiu.edu. We look forward to reading your application!
Graduate Admission Criteria
The graduate program culminates in a master's degree in Communication Disorders & Sciences. Applicants have an undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders & Sciences. Meeting the GPA requirement does not guarantee admission. Admission is determined by a graduate faculty committee. The committee considers all applications, including transfers from other four-years colleges and universities. With department chair consultation and approval, students may enroll for some courses on a non-degree basis prior to beginning their graduate program.
