NSSLHA Update

NSSLHA celebrated their 25th birthday this year!  To kick the year off, NSSLHA hosted a Welcome Back Fiesta, complete with Mexican dishes and a piñata.  The celebration continued this year with social events such as NSSHLA Birthday Bowling Party, the annual Client-Clinician Christmas Party, the Christmas Luncheon and the Spring Banquet.  As a part of the birthday celebration, NSSLHA donated professionally framed NSSLHA awards to hang in the clinic.   

The NSSLHA executive board members were master fundraisers this year, as they raised over $3000!  They donated to national organizations like the Ronald McDonald House, the NSSLHA Loves Campaign, and Relay for Life.  They also made local donations to the HOPE Center for Women and Children and donated developmental charts to local day cares and preschools for Better Speech and Hearing Month. 

Advisors, Mrs. Becker and Ms. Beckman, would like to extend a special thanks to the 2006-2007 NSSLHA officers for all of their hard work this past year.  Officers included Margaret Pedziwiatr as president, Whitney Sturm as vice-president, Courtney Bosco as treasurer, Carissa Hallam as secretary, and Margaret Joe Sierra as event planner.  In addition, they would like to thank class representatives Ellen McNamara, Colleen Slattery, and Leigh Tankersly.
