Nursing Program
The RN to BS in Nursing Program at Eastern Illinois University is for nurses who are licensed as registered nurses and would like to pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing in a high quality, accessible nursing program.
Our program helps nurses advance their knowledge and skills, prepare for graduate school, and expand professional options. Nurses receive generous credit from their basic nursing programs and attend courses designed to build on an established knowledge base.
The Program allows maximum flexibility for working RNs. Students can enroll part time or full time and can begin the program during the fall or spring semesters. The nursing courses are taught during the evenings so that each course can be completed by attending class one or two nights per week.
All nursing courses are now offered in a hybrid format, with one or two required meetings on campus each semester. The rest of the class meetings are held using a system called Elluminate, which allows the student to attend class via computer from their home or other off campus location. Our clinical courses are completed with a clinical preceptor in a clinical agency near the student’s home.
