Robin Klosterman serves as the student teaching coordinator for the Effingham area.  In May 2010, she retired after 36 years with most of her years spent in Effingham Unit 40 School District.  Mrs. Klosterman holds a BA from the University of Illinois in English Education, an MS in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in Instructional Technology from SIUC, and advanced coursework at EIU in Educational Leadership, resulting in Type 75 Principal’s Certification.
 
She taught high school English for 24 years before serving as an instructional technologist for the remaining 12 years.  In recent years her work focused on improving classroom instruction through effective integration of technology tools.  She coordinated the Technology-Enriched Classroom Project in Unit 40 and successfully wrote and administered a competitive federal grant called Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) bringing $261,000 in grant funds to Effingham High School.
 
Included in her interests are traveling, golfing (more watching than playing), reading, gardening, and cooking.  She resides in Effingham with her husband Steve; their daughter attends Illinois Wesleyan University and plays on the Titan’s golf team.
