GTC Computer Lab
The Gregg Technology Center houses an open lab available to the Eastern Illinois University community. This lab is furnished with a total of 41 dual-platform iMacs; 6 Windows laptops and 2 Macbook Pros for faculty checkout; 4 Windows laptops for student checkout; several other computer resources, such as scanners, microphones, cameras, digital video cameras, and voice recorders.
Additionally, three iMacs are set up to comply with requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). These workstations utilize specialized accessibility applications such as JAWS, Win Braille, Universal Access, Kurzweiil, Text Aloud,and Microsoft Disability software to help students with sight and hearing impairments. A Braille printer is also available.
This area provides groups or individuals access to the full Adobe CS suite, Compressor, and various multimedia tools and hardware installed on 6 Mac Pro towers strictly for media content editing. A reservation is required to utilize the GTC Multimedia Area.
This area provides groups of two to four students an area to view a large monitor and have discussion. Four half-circle tables are equipped with 23" swing monitors that can be plugged into personal laptops or dual boot Macbooks available to checkout and use strictly within the Gregg Technology Center.
Video Conference Area
Equipped with a 42' LCD monitor and video conferencing equi p.m.ent, this area can be used for small group training, meetings, webinars, collaboration activities, and video conferencing. Faculty and staff may reserve this area by contacting the lab coordinator.

Monday-Thursday: 7 a.m.- 9:45 p.m.
Friday: 7 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
Sunday: 2 p.m. - 9:45 p.m.
GTC Computer Lab Hours, Summer:
Monday-Thursday: 7 a.m.- 4:15 p.m.
Friday: 7 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
