AskCATS
You can ask CATS a broad range of instructional technology-related questions through a submission process or via a chat function. Simply choose the method that best meets your needs. AskCATS has been operational since 2009, and CATS is pleased to offer this service to EIU faculty, staff and graduate assistants.
How do I access live chat?
Available weekdays from 9 p.m. - 4 p.m. with exception of holidays and breaks.

First, verify you have access to the TECnet Training/AskCATS course on WebCT. If you do not have access to this course, contact cats@eiu.edu or 217-581-8452. Provide your EIU User ID and access will be granted.

Log in to WebCT and enter the TECnet training course.

Click on "live forum", located on the left navigational panel. An Elluminate page will open.

Enter your first and last name. Click "log in".

An "open meeting" box will open. Click "OK".

Type your question in the chat box "above" the "send" button.

Submit your question by clicking "send".

A CATS representative will respond within a few minutes.

How do I submit a question?
Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
