Sharon Allen- President, Sterling Wealth Management
Sharon is the founder and President of Sterling Wealth Management, Inc.   She has been intimately involved in all levels of managing the financial lives of affluent families and individuals since 1993.   Sharon is a "personal chief financial officer" for her clients, specializing in helping them prosper through life's transitions.

Stacey Barton - Clinical Social Worker, Washington University School of Medicine  
Stacey Krueger Barton (BA 1993, Psychology and English) completed her Master of Social Work degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 1996.  She is a licensed clinical social worker at the Huntington's Disease Society of America Center of Excellence in the Department of Neurology, Movement Disorders Section, at Washington University School of Medicine.   In that role, she manages all daily clinical activities and needs of outpatient Huntington’s Disease patients and their families both within the clinic setting and in the community, coordinates genetic testing, and provides community, patient, and caregiver education on HD. She does clinical trial research, grantwriting, counseling and information and referral services. In addition, she is an adjunct instructor at St. Louis University School of Social Service and is a field instructor for Bachelor's and Master's level social work interns. 

In January 2012 Stacey was recognized by Social Work Today Magazine as a Dedicated and Deserving Social Worker, and in June 2012, she was honored to receive the 2012 Patient and Family Service Award by the Huntington's Disease Society of America.

Prior to that, Stacey worked in a variety of health care social work settings, both in direct social work and administration.  These settings included hospice, voluntary health organizations, hospital and long term care settings.  She is a member and Past-President of the Society for Social Work Leadership in Health Care of Greater St. Louis, served on the MSW Health/Mental Health Advisory Committee at St. Louis University School of Social Service and is active in many other professional organizations. Her academic and research interests are in the role of the social worker in medication compliance and patient education, end-of-life care, ethics, enhancing outcomes through the use of social work, caregiver support in Huntington Disease families and social work education.

Stacey is married with two young sons and lives in St. Louis, MO.

Catherine Bocke, Media Associate, GolinHarris 
Catherine graduated in 2012 with a Master of Arts in Communication Studies. While at EIU, she gained extensive experience in health promotion and communication, serving as public relations, marketing & web design coordinator for EIU's Health Service and Health Education Resource Center. Later, her healthcare communications internship at international public relations agency,GolinHarris, prepared her for her current role as a media associate within the Chicago office's healthcare team, providing program planning and media relations support for GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare brands, including Nicorette, NicoDerm CQ, TUMS and Breathe Right. 

Michael Bohanek, Sr. Relationship Manager, LinkedIn 
As Senior Relationship Manager for LinkedIn, Mike works with recruitment companies to align LinkedIn solutions to grow their business and achieve success.

Mike has over 10 years of experience in the HR industry. Graduating from Eastern Illinois University with a degree in Management Information Systems, he started out on the technical side working for a consulting company building Lotus Notes databases for recruiters.    From there Mike went to Taleo where he was an account manager handling 15 national accounts including Toyota, John Deere, Limited Brands and more. He then went to Careerbuilder where he was a Business Process Consultant working with hundreds of clients to streamline and optimize their recruiting processes.  Shortly after, he became a Business Process Consultant Manager for a team of 5. Mike later took over the Partner Alliance Manager position where he developed and fostered over 200 partnerships with HR technologies companies many of which were significant revenue streams for Careerbuilder. While at iCims he was a Product Specialist working in step with the sales team to provide industry knowledge and develop and present in depth/deep dive product demos for C-level executives.

Yvonne Brown - Senior Job Analyst - University of Illinois at Chicago 
In May 2011, Yvonne Brown joined the Human Resources Compensation Department at University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) where she works as a Senior Job Analyst.

As a Senior Job Analyst, Ms. Brown conducts job analysis and evaluation studies for various employee groups and job families to determine appropriate employment classifications. Additionally, she creates/approve job descriptions and assists with various aspects of the hiring process.

Prior to UIC, Brown worked for University of Illinois Extension where she held several positions over a 17-year period. Her last role as Associate Director of Cook County Extension she was responsible for personnel and facility management in the Cook County Unit. The Cook County Unit employed nearly 100 employees and had 11 offices throughout the county. Brown was also essential in budget management, program planning and evaluation as well as keeping stakeholders informed within the county.

Brown’s areas of interest include domestic violence education, leadership development and organizational effectiveness.

Brown graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in consumer and family sciences degree with a major in consumer affairs and a minor in business administration. She also earned a master's degree in home economics with an emphasis on family services. In May 2011, she earned a MBA with emphasis on Organizational Leadership from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.   

Owen Burritt, Technology & Enterprise Software Sales Professional, CourseSmart
Owen is an experienced enterprise software sales professional with a solid track record in meeting and exceeding quota.  At CourseSmart, Owen is responsible for institutional & enterprise sales of digital learning platform and eTextbooks for both public and for-profit higher education institutions.  He has proven abilities in: business development, building and maintaining key client relationships at C-Level, creating champions, managing multiple high-profile accounts and managing complex sales cycles.   His experience has demonstrated success with both established industry leaders & early stage/ start-up companies. Owen graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in Business Management.  

Garry Cooke - Assistant Director of Recruiting, DePaul University 
Garry's background includes extensive knowledge on the inner-workings of a university system.  A 2005 graduate in College Student Affairs, Garry started his career as an Admissions Counselor for Eastern Illinois University.   His passion lies in working with future and current college students with the utmost hope that they will become successful graduates and alumni.  Garry has been successful in recruiting, advising and yielding both domestic and international students.    As Assistant Director of Recruitment for the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business,  Garry conducts all aspects of recruitment and admissions to the full-time, weekend and evening MBA programs.   

Jonathan Dean - Senior Consultant, Deloitte & Touche
Jonathan is senior consultant in Deloitte’s Treasury And Commodity Risk Group specializing in Finance Transformation and M&A Services. As a senior consultant, Jonathan leads projects to assist Fortune 500 companies with capital markets risk, financial system implementations, and growth strategies.

In a recent merger between two large energy providers, Jonathan was the lead consultant driving the implementation of a Treasury & Risk Management System. Previously, he has developed commercial banking strategies for merging Financial Institutions, and performed market assessments for hedge funds.

While at Eastern, he received the Outstanding Graduate Student Award for 2008/2009 and is the first recipient of the Ebrahim-Karbassion scholarship. 

Bill Elliott - Assistant Dean, Graduate School, Eastern Illinois University 
Bill Elliott serves as the Assistant Dean of Graduate and International Admissions at Eastern Illinois University. During his 16 year career, he has worked to admit and advise international and graduate students at two U.S. institutions of higher education. In addition, Bill is responsible for keeping EIU in compliance with the Department of Homeland Security’s regulations pertaining to non-immigrant international students.

Bill has served as the NAFSA Region V Lead Coach for NAFSA Academy, and served twice as Chairperson of the Study Illinois international student recruitment consortium. Presenting nationally and internationally on such topics as crisis management in an international office, international student recruitment, and use of state consortia for recruitment, has taken Bill to 26 countries, and helped to increase enrollments at institutions where he has been employed.  Currently, Bill serves as the Vice President of the Midwest Association of Graduate Admissions Professionals (MAGAP) and International Education Leadership Representative to Region V NAFSA.  

Eric Feigl, Personal Trainer, Mission 5 Fitness
Eric has extensive experience in providing one-on-one personal training and group instruction, corporate setting health promotion, and the development of youth and adult sport programs.  Eric graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2007 with a Master of Science in Kinesiology and Sports Studies.   Prior to working at Mission 5 Fitness, Eric began his career as Sports Coordinator for the Young Men's Christian Association.    Later he focused on the corporate world by serving as Fitness Coordinator for Humana clients through Corporate Fitness Works.   In 2011, he become Health Coach for Hummingbird Coaching Services where he guided, motivated, provided customized resources and helped clients to set achievable goals.   At Mission 5, Eric strives to help clients develop the 5 principles of physical health and well-being: Muscular Strength, Muscular Endurance, Flexibility, Cardio Fitness, and Body Composition.     

Jean Galovich - President, HealthMax, Inc. 
Jean Galovich is President of HealthMax, Incorporated, a health benefits advocacy firm. In this role, she works on behalf of patients and caregivers to resolve issues with health insurance, health benefit claims and provider bills. She is also active at the community level building consumer awareness about health care reform and the evolving health benefits landscape.

Jean’s previous positions include Consumer Information Officer with the Illinois Department of Insurance; Principal in the Rewards and Talent Management Practice with Mercer Human Resource Consulting in Chicago, Illinois; Director of Human Resources at the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois; and Employment and Compensation Manager at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois.

In a volunteer capacity, Jean serves as the public member of the Joint Commission’s Behavioral Health Care Professional Technical Advisory Committee, and she is a member of the Joint Task Force on Women and Aging, co-sponsored by the Chicago Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. At Eastern, she is a member of the College of Sciences Advisory Board as well as the EIU Foundation.

Jean holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Eastern Illinois University, a Master of Public Administration Degree from Michigan State University, a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist designation from the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists and Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Certified Compensation Professional designation from World at Work. 

Dan Halverson, Vice President - Application Developer Lead, JP Morgan Chase
Dan is a 2000 graduate of Eastern and a 13 year IT professional.  As a lifelong computer enthusiast, Dan enjoys designing and developing software solutions for financial services and for personal use.  At JP Morgan Chase, Dan has achieved Expert Engineer status, a selective program for the best of the best software engineers.  On the home front, Dan is married to his college sweetheart Courtney, has two kids, Ryan and Megan, and a dog, Einstein.   

Rick Ingram - General Counsel, AMI Group, LLC 
Rick serves as General Council and Chief Legal Officer for AMI Group and Chicago Parking Meters, LLC.  As a former Partner for Shefsky & Froelich, Ltd, Rick has over eighteen years of experience focused on complex commercial real estate matters, public/private partnerships, and infrastructure.   He also did significant work for not-for-profit institutions.  Rick also volunteers and supports various causes.   He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Edgewater Community Council and was formerly President of the Lakeview Action Coalition where he chaired the Hate Crimes Task Force.  He is active in the Illinois Safe Schools Alliance and working on the EIU GLBT Alumni group.

Pam Lacey - District 205 RTI Coordinator/External Coach for I-RTI Network, Thornton Township District 205 
Pam currently serves as the District RTI Coordinator for Thornton Township High School District 205. In addition, she also serves as an External Coach for the Illinois State Board of Education in the I-RTI Network. 

Mrs. Lacey earned her B.S from Eastern Illinois University in 1993. Since then, she has earned a MS in special education (1999) and a MS in school administration from Chicago State University (2007). She has worked in Chicago Public Schools, as well as, suburban schools; traditional and alternative; grades K-adult. Her responsibilities have included Director of Education, Community Liason, Curriculum Coordinator and class sponsors.

She currently lives in Flossmoor, Illinois with her two children and husband.

Seth Miller - Assistant Superintendent, Westville School District #2  
Seth Miller currently serves as the assistant superintendent for Westville School District #2 located in Westville, IL (30 minutes directly east of Champaign, IL on the Illinois/Indiana border). At Westville Mr. Miller oversees the human resource department and works with building principals in the recruitment, selection, and retention of all teaching positions. Over the past year Mr. Miller has partnered with surrounding school districts in developing a new teacher orientation program as well as a first year teacher mentoring program.

Before assuming his current position at Westville, Mr. Miller studied at the University of Illinois earning a degree in social studies education with an English minor. He began his teaching career at Oakwood High School teaching English and Senior Social Studies and coaching boys basketball. He obtained both his Master’s Degree and Superintendent’s licensure from Eastern Illinois University before taking a position as an assistant principal at Westville High School. At Westville he went on to become the assistant superintendent and is currently completing his dissertation for a Ph.D. in educational leadership from Indiana State University.

Kristin Moore - Sales Recruiter, Total Quality Logistics
Kristin serves as a Cincinnati Sales Recruiter for Total Quality Logistics, one of the fastest growing firms in the U.S.   Kristin utilizes her expertise in U.S.-Canadian logistics regulations to help fast track new sales staff.  She has gained a reputation among managers for dedication, accuracy and diligence.   Kristen started her career at TQL as an Account Executive and managed a portfolio of national accounts ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 accounts.  While serving in this role, she received numerous awards for load profitability and new business development  

Larry Quicksall - Social Work Therapist, Marion VA-Dept. of Veterans Affairs

Larry Quicksall is a 1987 graduate of EIU with a bachelors degree in psychology and speech communications, and a 1991 graduate of the U of I with a Master of Social Work degree in community mental health.  During his career, he has worked in the fields of substance abuse, mental illness, developmental disabilities, death and dying, and trauma recovery.  In addition, he has a private practice in individual and family therapy, was a member of the adjunct faculty of Lake Land College for 11 years, and is an author and professional speaker.


Justin Sanchez - Global Mining Technology Support Manager, Caterpillar, Inc.  

Justin Sanchez holds the position of Technology Support Manager for Caterpillar's Global Mining Division in Peoria, IL. He has been employed with Caterpillar since 2004. Justin graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems and has also obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from Bradley University in Peoria, IL.
As a Global Mining Technology Support Manager, Justin mentors and provides day to day direction for a global team of Support Analysts located on 3 continents supporting a customer base that spans the world. The primary focus of his team is to provide front line 24x7 support of Caterpillar Mining Technology Products. Caterpillar has the broadest, most comprehensive line of technology & autonomy products for mining in the world.  As part of his role Justin oversees technology and global process leadership to help drive service and incident management process improvements. Technology support provided includes investigating, troubleshooting, and diagnosing mining technology application/hardware problems.  Justin's support team is responsible for resolving a high percentage of support calls to ensure customer satisfaction and product reliability.     


Dave Stevens, Superintendent, The Milord Company
While working towards his Construction Management degree at Eastern Illinois University, Dave saw the importance in networking and internships.    He learned about an internship opportunity at the 2008 Fall Career Network Day while speaking with Kiewit.   He later interviewed for the position and was fortunate enough to have received it.   After his internship, Dave accepted a position as Grading/Civil Superintendent for Kiewit Infrastructure West.   Projects included planning, preparing, and overseeing crews and operations for double track passenger rails and park and ride stations.   Moving back to Illinois, Dave accepted the position of Jobsite Superintendent with Milord Company where he is currently overseeing the Union Pacific High-Speed Rail project.  

Tricia Stevens, HR Training Manager, Lifetime Products  
Tricia is a results-driven professional with experience in developing, implementing and executing both functional and leadership training to enhance supervisory/managerial development.   She started her career in the Center for Academic Technology Support as a Technology Trainer for faculty and staff at Eastern Illinois University.   Later, she transitioned to the Human Resources Department where she generated new training programs for all Eastern Illinois University employees.  

As Training Manger at Lifetime Products, Tricia is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and evaluating training and development strategies and processes for 1400+ employees.  She also manages the recruitment, staffing, and on-boarding process for Lifetime Products.     

Tricia is passionate about improving individual and team performance, and is recognized as a highly-motivated and focused instructor and leader.   She is experienced in both enhancing organizational strategy and in leveraging technology to achieve more with less in a fiscally responsible environment.

Ryan Tracy, Partner/Advisor, 360 Financial Group
A 2011 graduate of Eastern Illinois University, Ryan begin his career as Lead Case Manager for AB Resources. He later became Partner/Advisor for Affluent Division of 360 Financial Group.   His role includes serving as a Lead Designer for the Retirement Planning Solutions Team working towards a goal of establishing self-direct pensions that facilitate life time income streams in an effort to sustain quality of living expectation for clients.   In addition, Ryan serves as Inter-Office Securities Trading Desk Manager/Lead Advisor and Market Assets Manager for Client Accounts.   He provides securities advice and trading offered through Capital Assessment Advisory Services in addition to serving as Chief Operation Officer.  

Jodie Warner, Director of Laboratory Services, Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Systems
As Director of Laboratory Services, Jodie ensures the financial viability of inpatient, outpatient, and outreach business through development, administration and monitoring of personnel, capital and operating budgets. Jodie obtained her undergraduate degree from EIU.   Her specialities include strategic planning, capital equipment selection & implementation, resource management & development, lab information systems, regulatory compliance, performance improvement, and phlebotomy education.

Scott Wilson - Area Manager, Heritage Healthcare
For the past 15 years, Scott has been managing Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Language Pathologists who provide services in Long Term Care and Home Health settings.  Scott also has experience in providing Outpatient Physical Therapy services and started his health care career in Corporate Wellness for Dow Chemical and Eli Lilly.  Scott currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Illinois Health Care Association as well as the System Board at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.



Jeff Zilch - President, Delta Technical Solutions, Inc.  
Jeff Zilch is a proud graduate of the illustrious and world famous Illinois state institution, EasternIllinoisUniversity. He graduated in 1997 with a Bachelors degree in Organizational Communication. During his tenure at the “Harvard of the Midwest”, he was also heavily involved in student activities including Student Senate, IFC, Delta Tau Delta, Order of Omega, as well as a member of the Financial Aid Appeals and Review Board.

Post graduation, working as a sales representative, Jeff joined a small start up division of a company called SRI specializing in staff augmentation. During his tenure he quickly honed his sales skills but also learned every side of the business and learned several different aspects of the company.   Because of his success Jeff became the youngest business unit manager in SRI history and was instrumental in growing a department of 10 to well over 200 people with sales growing from $2 million to over $35 million.

Respectfully declining an offer for part ownership of SRI, Jeff instead decided to live the American dream and start his own corporation, Delta Technical Solutions, with his brother Eric Zilch, an Eastern graduate and Delta Tau Delta member as well. DTSI has had its doors open for 5 years and has become identified as a company that thinks client first and is committed to building better companies.   Because of those core philosophies, DTSI has grown into a multi-million dollar nationwide organization. DTSI is increasingly being recognized for its expertise in high level engineering, notably in the areas of manufacturing, medical devices, green technology, as well as in the energy sector.

When not in the office, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife, Laura Ann, also an Eastern grad and alumni member of Alpha Sigma Alpha and their four children. He is involved in various charitable organizations such as the St Baldrick’s Organization benefiting children’s cancer and also the March of Dimes.   He additionally finds great satisfaction in telling anyone who will listen that Tony Romo, Brad Childres, Mike Shannahan, and Sean Payton are all EIU grads.
