Welcome

Welcome to the School of Business at Eastern Illinois University. We are proud of our AACSB-accredited programs which give our graduates the solid business background they need to be successful in a competitive, global business environment. And, our graduates get jobs in their chosen fields. A few of the companies where our recent graduates have been placed include ADM, Caterpillar, State Farm Insurance, Cargill, Raytheon, Metavante, Hewitt, KPMG, Target, Drury Hotels, Systems Resources, and Motorola.

Our highly qualified, dedicated faculty understand what is required to educate today’s students to become tomorrow’s business leaders. The faculty have extensive professional business experience and value the importance of bringing current world issues into the classroom, while challenging our students to reach new heights through personal discovery. The programs focus on an integrated learning environment that gives students opportunities for academic and professional development in and out of the classroom.

Students are afforded many opportunities for academic and professional growth. Each major in the School of Business has at least one student-led professional organization. Students have opportunities to learn from others in addition to the faculty. As an example, look at our “Executive-in-Residence” program, where executives are brought to campus to meet with students and share their expertise in the classroom.

Students have access to many centers of excellence, including the Entrepreneurship Center, the Securities Analysis Center, and the Student Center for Academic and Professional Development.
Through programs like study abroad, supplemental instruction, tutoring, student organizations, internships, and independent study, students can develop and practice their skills beyond what they learn in the classroom.
