How to Become a Management Information Systems Major

You may select Management Information Systems as your major when you enroll at Eastern Illinois University. To enroll as an upper division (junior and senior level) MIS major, however, you must apply to and be accepted for admission to the School of Business. See School of Business Admissions.

During your freshman and sophomore years, you should work on completing the General Education Curriculum and the lower division Business Core Curriculum courses required for admission to the School of Business.

In choosing your coursework, consult with your Academic Advisor and follow the Recommended Schedule for MIS Majors.
