Finance Curriculum

Students majoring in finance must complete the Finance Core Curriculum and 5 (five) Finance Major Electives.  Students majoring in finance also must complete the General Education Curriculum and the Business Core Curriculum.  For more information on CFP™ certification, click here.

Finance Major Electives

Students may want to select their finance electives based on their career interests based on the following:

CFP / Recommended for students interested in earning CFP™ certification.
FM / Recommended for students interested in corporate finance/financial management.
CFA / Recommended for students interested in investments (including sitting for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level I exam).
RE / Recommended for students interested in real estate.
CB / Recommended for students interested in commercial banking.
