All business majors complete the following business core courses to develop the foundation knowledge and skills common to all business areas.  Students must earn a grade of C or better in all courses shown in red and must complete those courses prior to admission to upper division standing in the School of Business. Business Core Learning Goals

Upon completion of the business core curriculum, business majors will:

• Demonstrate basic knowledge of functional areas of business by analyzing and evaluating organizational strategies and formulating alternative courses of action;
• Demonstrate an understanding of business operations in the global economy;
• Recognize and analyze ethical and legal issues in the business decision‐making process;
• Understand the role of technology in organizations and use technology effectively;
• Communicate effectively;
• Use effective decision‐making skills to make business decisions; and
• Work effectively in teams.
