Students complete 27 semester hours – generally 9 courses – of upper division courses selected from the following business disciplines (including at least one course from each discipline and no more than three courses from any one of the disciplines):

Marketing (MAR)**
* One COS (Career and Organizational Studies) course approved by the School of Business may be taken as a Management (MGT) elective.
** Either JOU 3820–Publicity Methods or JOU 3920--Public Relations in Society may be taken as a marketing (MAR) elective.
Other Courses
Students also must complete a senior seminar (required of all EIU graduates) after completing 75 semester hours of university courework.
Students also may be required to take additional courses if needed to meet the university requirements for graduation.
Students who have not completed at least two years in a single foreign language in high school (with an average grade of C or better for the two years’ work) also must complete two university-level courses in a single foreign language.
