These are all local companies looking for local investment dollars to grow their businesses.

Highlighting Angel Investment Efforts
A good crowd of potential angel investors and venture capitalists gathered the morning of November 18, 2010 at the LifeSpan Center in Mattoon to hear business pitches from Nuvixa, Lamboo Inc., Midwest Reclamation and Excavation and Jangee Venture, LLC. The businesses reported back some interest in their projects after the presentation. As you can see from the chart below, angel investing funds the lion's share of start-up and early stage capiltalization. Illinois Announces New Angel Investment Credit Program
This program is designed to offer a tax credit to interested firms or natural person(s) who make an investment in one of Illinois' innovative, qualified new business ventures. The investment will encourage job growth and expand capital investment in Illinois. The program can offer a tax credit to qualifying firms in an amount equal to 25% of their investment made directly in a qualified new business venture. The maximum amount of an investment that may be used as the basis for a credit under this section is $2,000,000 for each investment directly in a qualified new business venture.To read more about the Angel Investment Program, click on Illinois Angel Investment Credit Program
