Eric Bollinger received a EIU Summer Research and Creative Activity Award for "Comparison of breeding densities and reproductive success of grassland birds nesting in native prairie and exotic grasslands."

 

Gary Bulla received a EIU CFR grant for "Type 2 diabetes: Role of HNF1(alpha) and HNF4(alpha) defects."

 

Erin Casey was presented with the Anheuser-Busch Annual Conservation Scholarship for "Genetic Diversity and Conservation of the Seal Salamander," co-authored with Dr. Mark Mort. $10,000.

 

Erin Casey received a Larry Williams Travel Award to present "Genetic Diversity and Phylogeography of Desmognathus monticola (Family: Plethodontidae) inferred from analyses of Intersimple Sequence Repeats at the Midwest Fish and Wildlife Conference in Des Moines, Iowa. Erin's graduate faculty mentor was Dr. Robert Fischer.
