Let's Have Some Fun

We like to welcome everyone including students, faculty, staff and community members to join the fun at the society's ballroom dance. The dance takes place every Tuesday from 7:30 to 8:30 PM (see details below) in the Dance Studio (Room 1918) at the Student Recreation Center (SRC). The Dance Studio can be accessed on your right just outside the ID station in SRC. Come on to have fun with us.

There is no charge for joining the dance. Dance instruction will be provided for the beginners.

 

Weekly Ball

Ballroom dance is not only for "wedding" party. It is a celebration. Our lives deserve celebrations, at least once a week. Here is the ballroom dance schedule for the current semester .

Purposes

1. To provide students a place to enjoy and appreciate ballroom dance, as a part of campus cultural experience.
2. To provide interested students a place to practice ballroom dance and social etiquette.
3. To encourage students, faculty, staff and community members enjoy social interactions through ballroom dance.


Rules

1. Treat everyone with politeness and courtesy.
2. There will be no cost for joining the membership even though donation is always welcome.
3. All students, faculty, staff and community members are welcome in the society.
4. Sign-in is required for everyone to join the ballroom dance.
5. Adequate dress is required for ballroom dance and practice organized by the club.
6. Only water in closed container is allowed in the dance studio. No pops or soda.
7. No smoking, chewing gum or tobacco during ballroom dance.
8. Everyone should strive to dance with every different partner during regular ballroom dance organized by the club.
9. No one should refuse dance invitation from any society member unless you s/he does not want to dance with anyone at all.
10. Follow other social etiquette for all ballroom dances.
