Academic advising for the Department of Art is provided to help students identify educational needs, select courses, meet deadlines and succeed academically at Eastern Illinois University.
Since degree requirements can change, it is imperative for students to know which requirements they are following. It is important to meet with your adviser to carefully consider course work and choose the most practical route, ensuring efficient progress toward degree completion.
Incoming freshmen are assigned an adviser at the Academic Advising Center. In the Spring semester of their freshman year, art majors will be assigned an adviser within the Department of Art. A list of students and advisers is posted at the art office, 2670 Doudna Fine Arts Center.
