About Us

The Department of Art offers a Master of Arts in art and a Master of Arts in art with an option in art education. Both are fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). These programs are quite successful in giving students the time to mature in the development of their artwork, provide valuable work experience in the visual arts through graduate assistantships, and assist in the development of portfolios which enhance the students' opportunity to compete for graduate assistantships in a Master of Fine Arts program.

Our graduates are routinely accepted in leading MFA programs around the country, and the quality of our students' artwork often rivals that of students completing two-year terminal degree programs. For more information or if you have questions, contact our graduate coordinator.

The deadline for application is April 1.
