8th Annual Chicago-EIU Golf Classic
The EIU Athletic Department is hosting its Annual Chicago-EIU Golf Classic in Naperville, IL on May 29. The outing is a great way to connect with other alumni, Panther fans, EIU coaches and current student-athletes while enjoying a first-class experience on the golf course. The day includes greens/cart fees, golf favors, lunch, beverages on the course, and dinner.

Promote EIU to prospective students
There are no better recruiters for EIU than its loyal alumni. If you know a high school or transfer student who would make a great asset to our university, encourage them to apply. Eastern is on rolling admission, meaning we will continue to accept applications as long as space permits.

2012 Alumni Awards
The EIU Alumni Association is currently seeking nominations for the 2012 Alumni Awards. Alumni may be nominated for the Distinguished Alumnus Award, Louis V. Hencken Alumni Service Award, Distinguished Educator Award or the Outstanding Young Alumnus Award.
Nominations, which must include this nomination form, a formal letter of nomination and any supporting materials such as articles or additional letters of support, should be sent to Steve Rich, Executive Director, EIU Alumni Association, 600 Lincoln Ave., Charleston, IL 61920. The deadline is Friday, June 22.
The award recipients will be recognized during the 2012 Homecoming festivities, including a dinner held in their honor on Saturday, October 13. For additional information, including a description of the awards and past recipients, please click here.
