Q:
Does belonging to a Greek organization
take a lot of time?
A: Participation in
any worthwhile activity always requires an investment
of one's time. Research has shown that involved
college students are more likely to graduate
on time and report greater satisfaction with
their college experience. Through Greek involvement,
you will learn how to balance academics, work,
campus involvement, and social commitments.
Q:
Does it cost a lot of money to be Greek?
A: Each Greek organization
is self-supported through dues charged to all
members. In the first year of membership, a
few one-time expenses are assessed. After those
initial payments are made, the main expense
will be regular dues. Payment plans are usually
offered and vary between each chapter.
Q:
What about hazing?
A: Not only is hazing
against the law and a violation of University
policy, but Alpha Sigma Alpha does not tolerate
any form of hazing.
